I enthusiastically support the community-driven project to construct the new Great
Lakes Bay Region Indoor Athletic Facility at the existing property of The Midland Soccer
Club, at 901 Soccer Drive in Midland.

I have experienced first-hand the personal benefits of organized sports in building
character, leadership, self-esteem and other valuable and essential life skills.
The MSC has decades of history in enhancing the recreational portfolio in Midland. Not
only are they a self-sustaining nonprofit organization since 1977, but they also bring
significant economic impact to Midland and the surrounding communities through
additional sports tourism revenues through their annual tournaments. They are a long-
standing reputable non-profit organization that can bring this indoor athletic facility to
fruition in an efficient and mutually beneficial way to our community and area athletes.
